Web Design Portfolio
A sampling of past web design work
Each group of sites below are a very small sample of sites I have created over the past 9 years. Each link will take you to another web site. Use your back button to return here. Custom art and logo design are available as a service for your web site's creation.
| Skippy's List Since he was no longer in the Army and writing more than just military humor, it was time to change the look. The site is primarily a blog with some static pages using Wordpress. There is also a Paypal shop available. |
| Global Host Project This organization already had a very nice site and layout but needed SEO, updated content, and a new web host and email accounts. We also included a web form with a captcha. |
| Rita Cortesti Rita had a site designed by a previous artist. We took her existing design and changed it a bit: made a few modifications to clean up the code a bit and incorporate CSS for layout and navigation. The black background is great for showing off paintings or photography. Paypal shopping was incorporated for selling her art. |
| Dahl Lighting Showroom Dahl Lighting wanted a classy and elegant look. Their image is upscale and refined and their site must reflect that to reach their target demographic. |
| Unity Santa Fe This church needed a color scheme that said "Santa Fe". They also need a web site that was visually appealing, yet would load quickly for those on dialup connections, and accommodate as many resolutions and browsers as possible. |
| Diverse Ventures, Inc. The owner runs three different busineses and wanted the rainbow incorporated as a symbol of diversity for his assortment of diverse business ventures. He wanted a consistent web page and marketing look for all three businesses. Also created logo and wrote copy text for interior pages. |
| Veranda Real Estate This company is located in a small town and wanted a warm, welcoming site to reflect their style. They described the look they wanted as "simple elegance". They also needed a simple means to display featured real estate. |
| Lorenzen Chiropractic Dr. Lorenzen already had a logo and brand identity. He just needed a site to reflect that. He also needed a hand with copy text. His ongoing maintenance includes online shopping to be added soon. |
The Art of Kirk Charlton |
| Jonathan Schwarz - Game Designer He wanted deep green, so that was incorporated with a gray to give it a bit of a professional look. I incorporated a screenshot from one of his games in the web site header. Wrote copy text for the home page. |
| Kompressor This is a game mod built by a team of students from the SMU Guildhall program. They already had the artwork, so it was just a matter of building a site to reflect the game. |
Jason Morales - Level Designer |
| Merflyer Mysticals This author and public speaker had definite color schemes, themes, and navigation ideas. It was a simple matter of making a site that worked around that. |
| During the 6 months I contracted with Verizon Superpages.com, I created approximately 80 web sites. Here is a sample of the sites I created for their clients: | |
| The Blind Spot They already had a logo, so I incorporated more blind imagery into the header. I gave them rollover navigation that made it look like blinds opening and closing. |
| Salomon Jewelers They knew they wanted a marbled look on the left and that they needed a site showing opulence and elegance. Rollover navigation included a glowing ring. |
| Advanced Vascular Solutions They wanted simple elegance that had a very tasteful style. I emphasized results on the site rather than current vascular symptoms. |
| Liberty Lamp & Shade Naturally, I built around a red, white and blue color scheme for them. He wanted lots of images of his products on the site. Some of them were incorporated into the navigation. |
| The Lincoln Inn I wanted their site to be warm and inviting. I also incorporated lots of food and pasta imagery into the header and navigation. |
| In the past, I have subcontracted for Wizard of Austin and Ariadne Services. These sites are just some of the sites I created for her clients: | |
| Love and Lemon Pie This author wanted the site to be warm, welcoming, and cozy. The site look and feel needed to reflect the book concepts and ideas. The book cover art was also incorporated into the design. |
| Central Texas Nutrition Consultants Since they dealt with food and dietary issues, and they had a logo, I designed the site look and feel around that radish logo. |
